Eggs are incredibly healthy and versatile, making them a popular food for many people.
There are several reasons, some people avoid eggs. Fortunately, there are plenty of replacements you can use instead.
You can use mashed banana or other fruits like avocado & pumpkin to replace eggs.
Silken tofu is a great substitute for eggs and has a higher water content. Use one-fourth cup of pureed tofu for each egg you want to replace.
Applesauce is puree made from cooked apples, and is a great substitute for eggs in most recipes.
Fruit puree will help bind a recipe in a similar way to applesauce. You can use one-fourth cup of Fruit puree to replace one egg.
Maxing 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 1 tablespoon of baking soda can replace one egg in most recipes.
Buttermilk and yogurt are good substitutes for eggs. You can use 1/4 cup (60 grams) of buttermilk or plain yogurt to replace one egg.
Nut butters like almond, cashew or peanut butter can be used to substitute for eggs in most recipes.
White beans have a soft texture and protein content. So, try adding white beans to sandwiches & salad.
Aquafaba is the liquid that is found in canned chickpeas or beans. You can use 3 to replace one whole egg.
Arrowroot is a South American tuber plant that is high in starch, and its powder is a great replacement for eggs.
Carbonated water makes a great egg replacement in products that are meant to be fluffy and light.
Unfortunately, some people cannot eat eggs, or simply choose not to eat eggs. So, these foods can replace eggs in baking, and recipes.
